Blacks are far more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than whites, even though they smoke less pot than whites, according to a just-released study by the Drug Policy Alliance. The California State Conference of the NAACP reacted to this finding Monday by announcing an “unconditional endorsement” of the state's November initiate to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. Such legalization also could make way for the legal sale and germination of cannabis seeds in the state, a change in law that seed banks around the world support. Medical Cannabis Dispensary Seed banks allow those who use marijuana to grow their own plants, whether for recreational or medicinal purposes. Legal sales and germination of weed seeds would lead to a safer atmosphere for all involved, no matter the race.
